Three Minutes. So many times, during the last two and a half seasons, it came down to less than the last three minutes of a game to finally decide who would be the victor, and several games came down to the last 60 seconds or less. This year, it holds true with both games against the Binghamton Bulldogs.

The game Saturday Night against the Bulldogs was arguably the hardest-fought game we have played this season, and if you like Basketball, this was one for the memory. The first quarter ended with below-normal scoring as it was all about testing defense, leaving the first quarter with the OGs-19 – Bulldogs-15. The second quarter started to become more about offense; both teams better than doubled their score going into the half with the Bulldogs-47 – OGs-39. Coming out of the locker room for the start of the second half, both teams held the lead for 12 minutes. The third quarter would end with another shift in the balance with your OGs-77 – Bulldogs-75. Going into the fourth quarter, one could smell the sweat and determination in the air as to whom would finish victorious. The score changed and flip flopped throughout the last 12 minutes of the game and as the end drew closer, you could watch the anxiety and competitiveness grow by leaps and bounds on the faces of the players as well as both coaches.

When the final three minutes were shown on the game clock, we were no closer to even predicting a winner, than during the Jump Ball that kicked off the game. The last 60 seconds saw both teams flood with pure adrenaline, and the pace of the game was all do or die. When the final buzzer sounded, the Bulldogs, 6th ranked team in the nation squeezed past with a final score, Bulldogs-103 – OGs- 96. In retrospect, that was a fantastic Basketball Game.
